I was amazed when I got a phone call from an old friend of my parents who was helping organize a wedding ceremony and reception for her son and daughter-in-law in just THREE weeks!! They were already married but wanting to have the ceremony. I had 8 months to plan my wedding and I still felt like I could’ve used another year or so to get everything organized. I typically don’t take on any weddings but it was a small outdoor ceremony and once I saw the location, I was super excited to take their wedding pictures!! The wedding and ceremony was at a friend’s house which was surrounded by gorgeous HUGE trees and an amazingly HUGE lawn. Such a neat location!!
The Colorado weather had been CRAZY (and still is) the entire week of the wedding so you can imagine how nervous they were about having it outdoors w/ tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings every afternoon. But God answered their prayers. The clouds were rolling in but the ceremony finished without a drop of rain. During the receiption, there was maybe 5 minutes of rain and then the clouds rolled past us. Soooo awesome!!
Anyway, congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. “M.” You guys were great and the ceremony was beautiful!!!
