Thanks for visiting!!!

I should've always known that natural light photography was going to be my true passion....but I didn't put 2 and 2 together until about 5 years ago.  I remember being in elementary school and staring out the panel of windows running across my 4th grade classroom thinking about how different the light was on an overcast day.  I remember how I was always obsessed with being outside, even if it just meant to absorb the sunshine.  I was always drawn to natural light, feeling a little depressed during the dark winter months when it was too cold to go outside.  And now that I'm all grown, I still oooh and aaaah over a great sunset.  I still love to stare at my husband's amazing eyes when the light hits perfectly.  I still get this emotional tingle in my heart when the light is just right and I feel at total peace.

For me, photography is not just about a picture.  It is about inspiration, beauty and pure emotion.  I want clients to feel that same tug at their heartstrings when they view their own images, that is what I strive for.  Because that feeling It is one of the best feelings ever!!

The Last Days of Fall….

I think that fall is beautiful mainly so people don’t get totally and completely depressed when summer ends.   I am a total sun person, winter is absolute torture for me.  But I can’t complain because we’ve been having some great weather the last few weeks.  I was really excited that I could do a...

Cash…

One of my absolute favorite things about photography is seeing returning clients and how much they change, especially kiddos.  The last time that I took pictures of Cash, he was just a tiny little guy.  Now he’s full of personality and ENERGY!!  Gotta love this age, so much fun!! It’s always a challenge trying to...

Senior Fun…

It’s been a while since I’ve done a senior shoot so I was really excited about it!  He was so easy going, and we drove around and found some new locations…..though we did come across a few homeless areas that surprised me a bit.  He was game to go anywhere. I used my 50mm for...

Family Sweetness…

Talk about an adorable family!!  Those two little ones were just downright adorable.  I always ask the kiddos if they’re excited to take pictures and most of the time I get a shy head nod “no.”  But “L” answered with a yes and did so good!!  Little “N” was too cute as well, as long...

Always a Good Time…

Any time that I get my family to pose for pictures, we have a good time.  This was my baby sis and her fiance “Wee-wee” (as my nephew calls him).  It was a dark overcast day which gave me a chance to find some new spots.  My sister is typically my guinea pig for finding...

Sweet Family…

This sweet family braved the cold and light rain on Saturday.  What troopers!!!  The camera just loved those kiddos, talk about photogenic.  Little “J” knew just what to do when I called her name and “N” was so easy going and willing to do whatever I asked him to do.  I think his favorite thing...

Scrapbooking…

Digital scrapbooking is actually what got me into photography.  I have been so focused on photography lately that I haven’t posted any digi-pages for quite some time.  So I felt the need to share some of my faves over the past few months. I have 2 sessions lined up for this weekend but the local news...

3 and 2…

These two gave me a good workout, I can’t imagine how exhausted the parents must be having two little boys so close in age.  Although, I’m sure it is totally worth it!!  It’s always fun for me when I win the kids over by the end of the session.  Most times, the kids are pretty...

Because I love ‘em….

I haven’t posted many pictures of the boys lately.  Between playing sports 5 nights during the week, photo sessions on the weekends and the sun setting earlier and earlier, I’ve just put it off.  So Saturday, with nothing to do (and believe me, that felt GREAT), I decided to take the boys on a walk...
